The massive Battlegrounds rework is now free to download and includes destructible terrain

PUBG Battlegroundsthe game that arguably created the entire battle royale genre is currently undergoing a bit of a makeover.

The game has been around for years and has slowly evolved, much like its competitors Fortnite, War zoneAnd Apex Legends. However, this latest update will bring something that doesn't exist in Battle Royales.

PUBG has released many updates over the past few years and is still going strong

Update 29.1 will not only bring more brand partnerships, but also destructible terrain since the move to Unreal Engine 5. This was an exciting part of the recent 2024 roadmap and can already be experienced with the Rondo map.

Players can now destroy landscapes and terrain to either create their own barriers and cover or destroy cover to protect opponents.

You can destroy terrain using either a pickaxe, certain thrown weapons, or vehicle explosions. Ramming a vehicle into hills and trees is now a viable option.

It is strange that this is limited to the site only and does not include any buildings, however such a view could exist PUBG would feel more like it Fourteen daysand if you've played Battlefield, you might be a little disappointed.

The update also brings numerous balance adjustments and stability for moments when multiple players are in the same area. For more information, visit the Krafton website. You can download the update next time you play.

Will this bring you back? PUBG? Have you played it over the years? It seems that over time PUBG fades into the background while retaining a core audience. It doesn't rely on flashy seasonal updates, but that's made it something of a sleeper hit.

Hopefully the rest of the 2024 roadmap brings more excitement and energy to players.
