The National League of Cities (NLC) is pleased to announce the next leg of its Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100 Cities. This monumental event celebrating the organization's 100th anniversary aims to celebrate the diversity, resilience and transformation of America's local communities. After a century of dedicated service to towns and villages across the country, NLC embarks on a journey to celebrate its historic milestone.

The roadshow launched in February at its founding site, the University of Kansas, and will crisscross the country, stopping in 100 cities of all sizes from coast to coast. As part of this celebratory journey, NLC is proud to announce its upcoming visits to cities in the DC region, Maryland and Virginia beginning April 15:

  • College Park, MD
  • Greenbelt, MD
  • Laurel, MD
  • Annapolis, MD
  • Gaithersburg, MD
  • Hagerstown, MD
  • Harrisonburg, VA
  • Richmond, VA
  • Dumfries, VA

Each stop of the roadshow will feature unique stories and experiences from communities across the country and highlight the remarkable achievements and contributions of local governments.

“As our Centennial Roadshow continues, it is an honor to visit the towns and villages surrounding our nation’s capital,” he said Clarence E. Anthony, CEO and executive director of the National League of Cities. “Over the past 100 years, these communities have contributed to America’s rich history, each with their own unique story of resilience and transformation. We are excited to have them on this journey with us and witness the remarkable progress being made to improve their communities.”
