Is Anthony Davis playing tonight? TV channel, live stream, start time for Lakers vs. Warriors

It's all hands on deck for the Lakers as they approach the end of the regular season.

Los Angeles has had a solid, if unspectacular, election campaign. The team holds a record of 45-34, which is ninth in the Western Conference as of Tuesday.

An automatic playoff spot seems unlikely — the Lakers are 1.5 games behind the sixth-place Suns with three games to go. But it's not an impossibility. Regardless of whether a play-in appearance is imminent for Los Angeles, Darvin Ham's team will still be looking to secure the best possible seeding.

To achieve this, the Lakers need the performance of all their players, especially their stars. But one of those talents, Anthony Davis, finds himself in a precarious position as the season nears its climax. According to TNT's Chris Haynes, the All-NBA star is reportedly battling an illness.

Is Anthony Davis playing tonight?

According to TNT's Chris Haynes, Davis is expected to miss the Lakers' game on Tuesday night against the Dubs. He was reportedly suffering from headaches and nausea.

Davis played just 12 minutes in Los Angeles' last game, a loss to the Timberwolves on April 7. The Lakers ruled him out of the contest after he suffered an accidental shot in the eye from Kyle Anderson during a put-back dunk. Davis completed the dunk, but he appeared to be in pain as he fell to the ground.

Los Angeles announced that Davis would miss the remainder of the game due to a left eye injury. He had already suffered a corneal abrasion a month earlier after Warriors forward Trayce Jackson-Davis hit him in the face. After leaving the game early, Davis visited a specialist because his vision was impaired and his eye was swollen shut due to the injury.

“I just couldn’t see anything,” Davis said last month, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “The corneal abrasion was actually right in the middle of my eye. It wasn't like it was on the side. Every time I looked it was blurry. My eye was swollen. I thought my eye was like this: [torn] open. But that wasn't it. It continued to water. It just felt like there was sand in my eyes.

It is unclear whether Davis' recent injury is related to his previous eye problems. Either way, Davis' absence could prove to be a deciding factor in final playoff and play-in placement. The Lakers enter the game in ninth place in the Western Conference, 1.5 games ahead of the 10th-place Warriors.
