After the New Mexico grand jury decided to criminally indict the actor on two counts of involuntary manslaughter in January 2023, prosecutors downgraded Baldwin's charge – which threatened the actor with a minimum sentence of five years – to 18 months in prison if convicted and a fine of $5,000.
