Washington Football RB Tybo Rogers has been suspended following his arrest

Washington sophomore football running back Tybo Rogers has been suspended from the University of Washington for the second time. A UW spokesperson announced that Rogers was arrested by Seattle police, but did not provide the reason for his arrest.

The Seattle Times and King 5 News revealed more details that Rogers was arrested this morning for sexually assaulting two women last year. Both incidents reportedly occurred in October 2023.

Rogers was first suspended in August 2023 under unclear circumstances other than it involved off-field issues. It certainly wouldn't have looked good for Kalen DeBoer and his previous regime if they had known about Rogers and still allowed him to participate in football activities.

According to King 5, former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb declined to comment on the situation.

Rogers joined the Huskies in 2023 from Bakersfield, California and appeared in 12 games in which he rushed for 184 yards.

Rogers appeared to be a promising running back talent for Washington football, but now his future remains in jeopardy as the school awaits more information on the case from Seattle police.

His bail was set at $300,000.
