“I would get her for slander”

Former UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejduo is defending Jon Jones following recent allegations.

For almost as long as Jon Jones has been a star, he has been surrounded by controversy and misdeeds. Incidents included hit-and-run, drunk driving, domestic violence and positive drug tests for both cocaine and PEDs, all of which have been linked to Jones.

Now Jones has been accused by a tester from UFC drug testing partner Drug Free Sport International of threatening to kill her during a visit to his home. Jones has since denied the allegations, but a subpoena has been issued for the current UFC heavyweight champion.

While Jones still gets into trouble, he remains a revered character in the MMA world and many are still willing to show him their support. Former training partner Cejduo is now the latest person to publicly defend Jones.

Cejudo discusses the incident on his YouTube channel and says he firmly believes Jones is innocent.

“Is Jon Jones innocent? One hundred percent,” said Henry Cejudo. “It's almost as if these people somehow want to create a story because they want to portray Jon Jones as 'the monster' and continue it.”

“From what I saw in the video and after meeting Jon, I could be frustrating at times. Believe me, I have dealt with people from USADA. People I have known for years, people who have tested me for years. They catch you at a party, they catch you early in the morning. I mean, it's normal for you to get kind of frustrated and be like, 'Hey man, what's going on here?'” (H/T MMA Junkie)

Cejudo even went so far as to say that Jones should take legal action against the alleged victim and encouraged him to fight for his name.

“If I’m you Jon Jones, do you know what I would do? I would sue them for libel,” Cejudo continued. “I'd get her for being a duplicitous asshole and trying to set you up for something you really didn't do.

“I think if anything, Jon, you should probably start fighting it and taking action against them. Make them think twice before saying your name. Make them think twice before they make up a story about you threatening to kill someone or whatever.”
