UFL and YouTube star Deestroy is out with a neck injury


San Antonio Brahmas kicker Donald De La Haye – also known as “Deestroying” to his 5.8 million YouTube subscribers and 4.7 million TikTok followers – announced via Instagram that he was in the Brahmas' 20-19 win Memphis Showboats suffered multiple fractures in their neck against the San Antonio Brahmas on Saturday.

The injury saw De La Haye, arguably the United Football League's biggest star, placed on injured reserve. According to UFL rules, this means he will be out for at least five weeks. De La Haye is believed to have injured his neck in a tackle during a kick-off in Saturday's game.

“Thank you for all the well wishes,” De La Haye said in a post on his Instagram Story. “It turned out during that tackle that I broke my neck in a few places due to poor form. Even though it sucks, I’m grateful.” [because] it could be [all] bad.”

De La Hayes' path to the Brahmas roster is well-documented on his YouTube channel, where he maintains an active vlog series titled “Project NFL.” In the series, De La Haye shows the moment he received an offer to compete for a spot on the UFL roster and then opens up about his pursuit of a job as a professional kicker.

While no announcement has been made about him being placed on IR, it is expected that De La Haye will be out for the remainder of the season.
