College Sports Summary (April 9)


Here is a recap of the high school varsity action on Tuesday, April 9th.

Soft ball

Havre de Grace 6, Harford Tech 2: The Warriors broke a tie with four runs in the bottom of the fifth, with Bayleigh Carstetter and Kinsey Mentzer hitting RBI triples in the rally. Lilly Dalton and Sarah Weitzel also drove in runs in the inning. Weitzel and Dalton split time in the circle and combined for a six-hitter.

Patterson Mill 10, C. Milton Wright 2: Audrey March's two-run single highlighted a five-run third inning as the Huskies pulled away from the Mustangs. March ended with four RBIs on the day. Kaylyn Pulket went 4-for-4 with an RBI. Kenzie Knight had two hits and two RBIs.

Sparrows Point 15, Lansdowne 5: Chloe Fields and Allie Roberts each hit a home run for the Pointers, with Fields driving in four runs and Roberts driving in two runs. Maddy Lunner finished with three RBIs, Abby Sies had two hits and two RBIs and L Miller also drove in a pair.


Patterson Mill 2, South River 0: Travis Loewe defeated the host Seahawks with a five-hitter and three strikeouts. The Huskies only scored five goals in total, but made the most of it. Noah Thomas hit an RBI single in the fourth and Brycen Hunter had one of his own in the sixth.

Lansdowne 23, Carver A&T 0: The Vikings scored 14 runs in the first inning. Matt O'Donnell hit a home run and drove in four runs. Sean Lippman also rode in the foursome. David Eastlake, Justin White and Ian Patterson each rode in pairs.

Girls lacrosse

Aberdeen 12, Bo Manor 7: Jenna Stevens scored eight goals to lead Aberdeen to victory. Lauren Miranda added two goals while Amanda Wang and Jordan Dawson also scored. Annie Hüttel collected five draw controls.
