Justin Baker returns to Tennessee

2025 three-star running back Justin Baker (Buford, Ga.) will return to Knoxville this weekend to watch the Tennessee Volunteers.

Buford High School running back Justin Baker might be one of the most underrated prospects in the Southeast. The talented rising senior will get the opportunity to run the show this season for the Wolves, a historic program in the competitive state of Georgia. Baker has been committed to Tennessee for months and returns to campus this weekend.

He initially signed under the previous running backs coach Jerry Mack, who took on the same role with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason. New running backs coach De'Rail Sims has made Baker a priority since he took the job, and the two continue to maintain a relationship.

Georgia State has been very good to the Vols in recent years. They added several key players from the Peach State to their current roster, and in 2025, all three of their clubs will play their high school football in Georgia. The Vols also went to Milton High School for two cornerbacks. Shamar Arnoux And Dylan Lewis. Baker received attention from Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina and Penn State, but ultimately felt Tennessee was the best fit for him.
