It turns out that the no pants trend is here to stay, come rain or shine. So says Dua Lipa, who pulled off the rainy day trend in London this week.

The singer was pictured in a head-to-toe look from Ferragamo's Spring/Summer 2024 collection, including a black zip-up jacket with a mock turtleneck over a black pair of figure-hugging micro shorts. She continued the black theme with the bottom half of her outfit, which included seasonally appropriate sheer tights, knee-high leather boots with an edgy curved heel and pointed toe, and a black leather tote bag fresh from Prada's Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-runway carry.

But what really made the look perfect was the unexpected pop of color in her outerwear: a bright grass green leather trench coat that contrasted perfectly with her cherry red hair.

Of course, Lipa has been in her pantsless era for quite some time now. In February, she shared photos of herself on Instagram in a cropped green jacket and shiny black leggings, topping it all off with a pair of star-shaped slingback heels from Coperni. And in January, Lipa performed her single “Houdini” in a black graphic T-shirt and ruffle-trimmed leather hot pants.

“I like having one piece that makes a whole outfit, and then you can wear everything else, which is easy,” the singer said of her style in a 2017 interview with Harper's Bazaar. “I have always loved dressing up. I like things to look like you just put them on, and sometimes the things you actually put on look best. I've always been inspired by the '90s and I like wearing wide pants and blazers with slip dresses and thigh-high boots or leather jackets and just a mix of all of that.”
