Sergei Bobrovsky makes 30 saves, Panthers defeat Senators 6-0

OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves for his fifth shutout of the season, Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and two assists and the Florida Panthers beat the Ottawa Senators 6-0 on Thursday night.

Nick Cousins, Dmitry Kulikov, Anton Lundell, Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart also scored, helping Florida improve to 48-24-5. Panthers coach Paul Maurice finished fourth on the NHL wins list with 865 wins.

Joonas Korpisalo allowed four goals on 17 shots for Ottawa. Anton Forsberg fired two of 14 shots in relief.

With Florida leading 5-0 early in the third period, Tkachuk scored on the power play by knocking in Aleksander Barkov's shot.

Florida extended its 2-0 lead with three goals in the second period.

Lundell, who was below the goal line, deflected a shot off Korpisalo's shoulder to make it 3-0 at 2:35. Less than two minutes later, Tkachuk dropped a pass to the trailing Bennett, who beat Korpisalo and ended the goalie's night.

Forsberg came on in relief, but with just over two minutes remaining, Reinhart scored his 53rd goal of the season.

The Panthers got 1:02 into the game when Cousins ​​took a pass in the slot and beat Korpisalo Kulikov and made it 2-0 35 seconds later with a shot from just inside the blue line.
