How to watch on YouTube

Coachella is back on YouTube this year, and the platform has some new tricks up its sleeve to bring some of the technology it developed for YouTube TV to the concert spectacle. It will also be streamed on even more stages this year.

The event takes place over two weekends. The company announced that the livestream for the first weekend will begin on Friday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. ET, while the second weekend will begin simultaneously on Friday, April 19th . YouTube will once again live stream Coachella 2024 with six feeds across all stages, so you can catch different shows across both weekends.

For the second year in a row, fans will have access to more performances on more stages and can choose from six live stream feeds each weekend. The ability to hop from stage to stage, from Sonora on the first weekend to Yuma on the second weekend, allows fans to create their ultimate Coachella experience without missing any of the on-site action.

Coachella 2024 in the YouTube multiview experience.

One of the big offerings for Coachella this year on YouTube is what the company calls a “multiview concert experience.” Essentially, it's a split-screen setup like you're probably used to seeing on sports shows – only at concerts.

YouTube's Multiview will be available in the music world and around the world for the first time during Coachella 2024. The large-screen production will be tailored so that viewers anywhere can view up to four of the livestream stages simultaneously on their televisions while listening to the music audio of their choice. Two of your favorite bands playing on different stages at the same time? No problem, Multiview gives you and your friends the opportunity to watch both sets at the same time on the TV via the YouTube app at no additional cost.
