2024 NASCAR Martinsville schedule, entry list and how to watch

Martin Truex Jr. dominated the Cup race at Richmond, but a late caution forced the race into overtime and completely changed the outcome. Denny Hamlin, Truex's Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, won the race off pit road and then held on for two laps to the checkered flag.

Truex finished fourth and was livid, claiming Hamlin was “wearing me out” and pointing out a possible restart violation by the driver of the No. 11 Toyota. It appeared as if Hamlin left early, but NASCAR did not provide any information. Joey Logano was second and Kyle Larson was third.

Despite the disappointing result, Truex extended his lead to 14 points over Larson.

Now the series moves on to Martinsville, where Ryan Blaney won the last event in the fall. Larson is the defending champion of the spring event.

In this week's news, Richard Childress Racing made a crew chief change, reuniting Justin Alexander with Austin Dillon. Joey Gase was fined $5,000 for throwing viral bumpers during the Xfinity race. Part-time NASCAR driver Gray Gaulding has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested for domestic violence. And finally, Supercars star Cam Waters is “fired up” for his NASCAR debut in Friday’s truck race at Martinsville.
