Minnesota Timberwolves vs Toronto Raptors: How to watch the game online, live stream information, start time, TV channel

3rd quarter report

This game in no way resembles the narrow 97-94 margin in the Timberwolves' victory over the Raptors in their last head-to-head matchup in October 2023. The Timberwolves have some cushion as they currently lead the Raptors 91-60.

The Timberwolves came into the game with added motivation after suffering a loss the last time these two teams met. We'll see if they can flip the script or if it'll just stay more of the same.

What you should know

The Timberwolves will play the entire four quarters on Wednesday, but they are expected to have things taken care of long before then. They and the Toronto Raptors will face off at 8 p.m. ET at the Target Center without much of a break after wrapping up games yesterday. The Raptors suffered a loss in their last game and will look to turn the tables and give the Timberwolves a win.

On Tuesday, the Timberwolves defeated the Rockets 113-106.

The Timberwolves' win was a true team effort, with many players putting in solid performances. Perhaps the best of them was Naz Reid, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Less helpful for the Timberwolves was Anthony Edwards' miserable 0-6 three-point shot.

Meanwhile, the Raptors' recent rough patch got a little more difficult on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. The game between them and the Lakers wasn't a total blowout, but with the Raptors losing 128-111 at home, it was damn close to being one. Toronto trailed 100-79 at the end of the third quarter, which was simply too much to recover from.

Despite their loss, the Raptors had several players who rose to the challenge and made notable plays. RJ Barrett, who scored 28 points along with six assists and six rebounds, was perhaps the best of them all. Barrett continues to rise, surpassing his previous point total in each of the last three games he has played.

Minnesota has been performing well of late as they have won five of their last six games, giving their 52-23 record a nice boost this season. As for Toronto, the loss dropped their record to 23-52.

Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's contest: The Timberwolves have shot from deep this season, making 38.7% of their three-pointers per game. However, things are different for the Raptors as they have only made 35% of their threes this season. Given the Timberwolves' significant advantage in this area, the Raptors must find a way to close this gap.

The Timberwolves couldn't quite defeat the Raptors in their last meeting in October 2023, losing 97-94. Will the Timberwolves have better luck at home than away?
